CATALINA 40

This is one of my larger conversions. The Catalina 40 is now powered by a 30,000 kW liquid cooled brushless motor from Electric Yacht. Eight Battle Born game changer batteries store the energy needed to move this vessel with authority.

With such a large motor bay, the Electric Yacht Drive fit nicely with very little modification. Once lined up and bolted in place it was time to fit and wire the batteries. This was a little more complicated. The large 4/0 wire had a significant run from the battery compartment to the motor relays. Two Delta Q chargers at 25 A and 48 Volts serve the batteries for shoreside charging.

The vessel performs well and has been in service for three years now.
